Math Facts Made Easy

At the NLC, we use a variety of games and exercises to help students learn the essential fact while having fun and building self-esteem.

For many students, the first step in mastering their times tables is simply memorizing the number PATTERNS for a particular number. 

For this example, we're going to use the nine times table. And to make it easy and fun, we're going to memorize this set of numbers using the familiar song, "Happy Birthday". 

Remember, our only goal at this point is to memorize the important numbers AS A PATTERN. We'll make the connection to the actual math problem and build speed and fluency, in the following steps. 

For now, just have fun...
